Director, Erie County Job & Family Services

AJ Lill is the Executive Director of Erie County Department of Job and Family Services, a quadruple-combined agency with approximately 100 staff. AJ has been at ECDJFS since 2007, where he has had the opportunity to serve Erie County in various roles including caseworker, supervisor, deputy director, assistant director, and Executive Director.

AJ is a lifelong resident of Erie County and has great pride and passion for his community and what he does. He is a graduate of Kent State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Justice Studies and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bowling Green State University.

AJ also oversees the operations as the Director of Michael’s House, the Erie County Child Advocacy Center. Additionally, AJ serves on the Board of Michael’s House. AJ also serves as Chair of the Diocesan Sexual Abuse Review Board.

AJ previously served on the statewide Family First Preventative Services Act Planning Committee and the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund Child Abuse/Neglect Regional Prevention Council.

AJ resides in Erie County with his wife Rachel and two daughters, Adalynn and Eliza.
