JOB DUTIES
· Directly Supervise Child Protective Service Case Managers
· Collaborate with Case Managers to make Case Decisions
· Ensure Protection of Children
· Ensure Preservation of Families Whenever Possible
· Work with Case Managers to Establish and Achieve Permanency Goals
· Assign and Monitor Workloads
· Ensure Compliance with All Federal/State/Local Laws and Regulations
· Comply with State Monitoring and Corrective Action
· Approve PRC Applications and Monitor Healthcheck
· Complete All Required Approvals in SACWIS in a Timely Manner
· Builds Rapport with Court Professionals, Law Enforcement, and Other Professional Agencies
· Provide Expert Testimony when Required
· Assist in Policy and Program Planning/Development/Implementation
· Assist in Hiring Process for New Employees
· Complete Employee Evaluations
· Approve/Deny Leave Requests and Monitors Absences
· Recommend Employee Discipline when Needed
· Reconcile Employee Timesheets
· Complete Forms, Correspondence, and Reports
· Provide Comprehensive Data for Statistical and Reporting Needs
· Coordinate Services with Community Agencies/Organizations
· Provide Training as a Public Service to Schools and Social Agencies
· Serve as On-Call Supervisor on a Rotating Basis (Additional Pay Provided)
WAGE
· Starting at $25.19/hour
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Two years experience as a Social Services Worker 2
· OR completion of undergraduate major core coursework or two years technical training in behavioral science, social science, early childhood development technology, education, or related field. Also requires two years experience in a position similar to a Social Services Worker 2
· OR two courses in adult psychology, one of which must be in the area of gerontology or twelve months experience. Two courses or twelve months experience in child psychology, two courses or twelve months experience in social welfare or other sociology related topic, two courses or twelve months experience in counseling, one course or six months experience in domestic violence, and one course or six months experience in courtroom procedures. Also requires two years experience in a position similar to a Social Services Worker 2.
· OR education, training, and/or experience in an amount equal to the minimum qualifications stated above
· Must have Valid Driver’s License
