What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·         The employee is responsible for managing and maintaining equipment in the Professional Development Department for use by the Central Ohio Regional Training Center (CORTC), Franklin County Children Services (FCCS), and the Ohio Child Welfare Training Program (OCWTP); and manages FCCS audio-visual materials. The employee will help the agency achieve CFSR standards and help ensure service delivery that focuses on Safety, Permanency and Well-being for the families served by the agency. ·        Maintains PC software; investigates problems and provides solutions for equipment problems, including, but not limited to LCD projectors, all peripheral laptop equipment (e.g., flash drives); provides technical assistance to equipment users; provide/set-up equipment for users in training rooms and meeting rooms throughout 855 and maintains and tracks department equipment; PCs in training rooms and PDD hallway. Maintains inventory for all equipment used in CORTC. Secures replacement as needed. Develops, programs, researches, implements, plans, & designs technology-based learning activities. Implements instructional interventions (e.g., computer-based training; web-based training

 

·         In New Employee Orientation distributes equipment to new employees and training with the new employees to include: My Ohio site for change of passwords, installs Dual security; preparation for the VPN login, activation of Microsoft license for each employee; Phone: Jabber instruction. Securing attestation, activation of I-Phones for administrators and casework

·        In training environment develops and produces training videos to support new staff in orienting to FCCS; assist with video editing on training as requested; designs changes to update SharePoint to make knowledge visual. Develops instructional materials and products for technology-based instruction. Creates learning activities to enhance course content for training. Design multimedia.

 

·         Enrolls staff in Speak Write; train/facilitate use of Classroom Performance Systems (CPS)

software and any other software that is required for use by OCWTP, CORTC and FCCS.

 

·         Performs other related duties as assigned, including copying, and distributing materials, shares responsibilities for telephone and receptionist duties, ordering supplies; responsible for tracking and maintaining audio/visual equipment, videos and other resources and preparing coffee. Support new staff and current staff with technical support in computer issues. Sets up and maintains Virtual Reality (VR goggles). Assist staff on hiring event days with use of VR headset and instructions on use of the VR headsets

What will make you successful:

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Completion of undergraduate core program in education to include student teaching or 2 years training or 2 years. experience in assessing, researching, designing, developing, evaluating & delivering instruction and associated materials for adult learners

·         2 years. training or 2 years’ experience in use of software and/or application systems to create and deliver technology-based training (e.g., Author ware; Articulate; Captivate; Course Mill; Dreamweaver; Lectora; MOODLE)

·         18 months  training or 18 months experience using Microsoft Word or WordPerfect

·         1 year training or 1 year  experience in creating web pages using programming languages (e.g., HTML; DHTM, XML; JavaScript; CSS)

·         6 months training. or 6 months experience in web art manipulation programs (e.g., Fireworks, Shockwave, Flash, Photoshop)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree in education or information technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 12 months experience.

·         Knowledge of performance analysis; instructional design principles; written communication for training and online reading; statistics; survey design; agency standards, policies & procedures*; foundations of learning, transfer, motivation & evaluation; public speaking or effective communication techniques; adult learning principles.

·         Skill in use of and understanding of information technology and visual design computer applications; operation of personal computer; programming & use of software and/or application systems (e.g., html; Frontpage; Dreamweaver; Authorware; Microsoft Word; Outlook; Photoshop; JavaScript; DHTML; CSS; Fireworks; Flash Articulate; Captivate; CourseMill; Lectora; MOODLE)

·         Ability to gather, collate and classify information about data, people or things; work independently; work on a team on some tasks with people of varying skill and educational levels; deliver training and interact with variety of employees at different educational levels; handle routine and sensitive contact with departmental employees, supervisors and managers; deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables; write and deliver training information
