What You Will Do – Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Employee completes level of care assessments to establish the level of care to be provided to children placed in foster care; makes assessment as to whether children’s care needs are Regular, Special, Exceptional or Intensive. Employee must demonstrate cultural awareness sensitivity, leadership and competence throughout all aspects of job duties. The employee will help the agency achieve CFSR standards and help ensure service delivery that focuses on Safety, Permanency & Wellbeing for the families served by the agency. · Gathers information for level of care assessments through interviews with foster parents, uses an assessment instrument specified by FCCS and speaking with other individuals such as caseworkers, therapists or teachers; types level of care assessments using information gathered, including a description of the child, medical issues, current interventions, recommendations and an assessment summary of the foster home and foster parents; maintains tracking systems to be aware of time frames, completed assessments or late reports. Assists with placement referral as needed.
· Employee meets regularly with their supervisor and team members to discuss unit and individual performance and opportunities for improvement. Attends staff development. Employee contributes to a positive work environment geared towards a positive attitude, teamwork and productivity. Coordinates within Provider Services, with other agency departments and with Providers to problem solve concerns and opportunities for improvement in workflow, consistency of practice, communication and work alignment with CFSR, CPOE, COA standards as well as the agency Guiding Principles. Leads/participates in various committees and projects as assigned.

What will make you successful:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in social work or related area and minimum of 1-year related child welfare/social work experience (post master’s degree); or bachelor’s degree in social work or related area and minimum of 2 years related child welfare/social work experience. LSW considered equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in social work
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in clinical/behavioral health. Employee needs to be proficient in computer use in order to navigate SACWIS and other applications frequently used by caseworkers.
